Hardy, Climate-Resilient Trees for Southcentral Alaska

All trees are grown onsite at our nursery in Soldotna and carefully cultivated for long-term performance in Alaska’s demanding climate. We focus on cold-hardy, non-invasive species that integrate responsibly into local ecosystems while providing meaningful wildlife habitat and ecological value. Our primary service area includes Soldotna, Anchorage, and surrounding communities.

Siberian Fir

A Resilient Alternative to White Spruce

Native to the cold regions of northeastern Siberia, northern China, and Mongolia, Siberian fir is exceptionally well-suited to the climatic conditions of Southcentral Alaska. As native white spruce populations face continued pressure from spruce bark beetle infestations, this species provides a durable, climate-compatible substitute for long-term landscape and reforestation planning.

Mature Size & Form

  • Typically reaches 90–115 feet at maturity

  • Capable of exceeding 150 feet in optimal conditions

  • Narrow, upright growth habit with a strong central leader

Why It Performs Well Locally

  • Extremely cold-hardy

Siberian Larch

A Distinctive Deciduous Conifer

Siberian larch stands apart as a cold-climate conifer that sheds its needles each fall—a rare characteristic among northern evergreens. This seasonal transformation adds dynamic texture and color to the landscape.

Key Attributes

  • Exceptional winter hardiness

  • Tolerant of cold, heavy soils

  • Well adapted to Alaska’s growing season

  • Non-invasive

In autumn, needles turn a vivid gold before dropping, creating visual contrast and seasonal interest. It is well-suited for property owners seeking structural diversity while maintaining climate resilience.

Grown With Patience and Purpose

Unlike high-volume commercial operations, our trees are cultivated deliberately over multiple years to prioritize structural integrity and transplant success.

This approach emphasizes strong root architecture, cold acclimation, reliable transplant performance, and long-term survivability. Each tree reflects years of careful stewardship rather than seasonal inventory turnover.
